Accommodation: Under no circumstances must the number of people in the property exceed the number stated at the time of final payment, except where written permission has been received from the owner. Names and addresses of all guests staying in the property at any time must be advised to us in writing before the holiday commences.

Emergency Contact Numbers: We ask all tenants to supply the name and telephone numbers of two emergency contact numbers in case of non-arrival, accident etc.

Booking Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total rental and the signed booking form secures reservation subject to availability and references. No booking will be confirmed until the booking deposit has been received.

A Refundable Inventory Deposit: A minimum of £1000 for La Maison du Chateau and £100 for the Gatehouse to cover property damage will be requested three weeks prior to commencement of the holiday. This can be used to cover any damage/breakages and to pay for any international telephone accounts (local calls are free) or excess heating charges over the specified allowance for each property, after which the balance will be refunded.

Final Payment: The full balance is payable twelve weeks prior to letting when final particulars will be sent to you. Late payment will incur a 2% surcharge.

Cancellation by You: Any cancellation by you (for whatever reason) must be in writing (or email provided you have received our acknowledgement of its receipt). The effective date of cancellation is the date we receive written notification. If you cancel more than twelve weeks prior to your arrival date you will only lose your deposit whereas if you cancel within 12 weeks of your arrival date, or if the booking is cancelled due to non-payment, we shall be entitled to the full rental cost from you. We will endeavour to obtain a replacement letting in either case. In so far as a replacement letting is obtained, we will then refund your balance, less any charges incurred in finding the replacement booking.

Arrival/Departure: In order to achieve the highest standard for your arrival, please note that, unless by negotiation, arrival should be timed for after 5pm, and departures should not be later than 10.00am. Please inform us of your time of arrival to help us organise your welcome and key hand-over.

Prices: The prices are per week and include the services of the cook (at the agreed level of service - see below), all linen (excluding swimming towels), water, heating oil including swimming pool heating, gas and electricity up to a total of £200 per week which should cover all normal usage. between mid May and mid September. If usage does exceed this sum we will provide you with the details and the balance must be paid to us at cost and will normally be deducted from your deposit. International calls, personal laundry, food, drink, and maids are not included in the price. For the Gatehouse prices include water and electricity (up to an allowance of 150 kw per week which should cover all normal summer usage).

Cooking: The cook is employed by us and the charge for her services includes employment taxes. The normal level of service is for 5.5 days per week. Her time off of 1.5 days (taken some time mid stay) is to be arranged to suit both the client and the cook. Please note that she is the only cook normally available to us. In the unlikely event of her being unavailable through illness etc we will do our best to find a substitute at a cost to be agreed with you, but if this is not possible the limit of our liability shall be to refund any payment you have made for her services and this agreement shall not otherwise be affected. NB. Her charges do not include the cost of food for which you should either give her a float or repay her promptly.

Maid service: The maids are self employed. The maids can do all the cleaning, bed making, prepare and clear away breakfast assist the cook at meal times including service and clearing away. Prices for this service are dependent on numbers and level of service required. Any agreed price for the maid service is payable directly in France in Euros.

Cleaning on departure: The house will be cleaned at the end of every stay. Extra charges may also apply if excessive cleaning service is necessary.

Insurance: It is a condition of the let that tenants and their guests take out full holiday insurance. Under no circumstances will the owner be responsible for loss of life, personal injury, medical expenses, accidents or forfeited deposits. It is a condition of this agreement that tenants and their guests shall be covered by adequate insurance for all the above risks.

Pets: Pets are not allowed

Law: This agreement is subject to English Law.
