All times of year are beautiful at La Maison du Chateau. Onsite you have the 24 acre park springing into life in March/April or in late autumn it looks magnificent, with the fiery autumnal colours set alight as the evening sun sets.  The sun offers gentle warmth to the days, which allows for wonderful walks along the canal and even a refreshing swim in the pool after a game of tennis on our new court.

During the days one must not miss the opportunity for some fabulous wine tasting experiences. With the villages and vineyards a hive of activity, there is much to explore and learn about, whether it be at the great wine houses of the region or lesser known growers with excellent wines at exceptional prices! Staying at La Maison du Chateau you have your own expert wine guide (British man who has lived locally for over 20 years) to take you all over the region to taste. To add to the experience you can also visit some of the world famous sites and historic towns between tastings, where you will be educated on the history of Burgundy by our guide.

Once back at La Maison du Chateau, you will be given tea and freshly made cake and then later, perhaps after a row down the river, a fantastic 4 course dinner, all made by our brilliant cook. Evenings can then be whiled away around the roaring log fire, in the homely elegance that the Manor house offers guests.
